This week we continued to learn about the flipping from upside down to right side up. But, this week instead of using the flame example we had to figure out how a camera takes a picture. Then how the camera flips the picture right side up for you to see it. Well, I for insteance made a picture of a camera and then of a tree and made the lines. I drawed the lines from the top of the camera lines to the bottom of the tree. Then, same for the bottom of the lens to the top of the tree and then one in the middle of both. Next, the camera takes the picture and the lines transfors the tree into the camera but upside down. Then, when you download the picture to the computer it comes right side up. Which the camera flips the tree right side up just like we did with the lines to make the tree upside down.
The next couple of days we reviewed the flame experiment. And later in the week we tested how when you point a laser to a mirror why it appears on the wall somewhere else. We tested this out by checking the reflectivness of many objects. We tested (glass, wood, notebooks etc.) My parentner and I relized that the objects that if you look into you can see your self like the glass and mirror. Has the highest reflectivness.
These were the science ideas that we learned this week. And how we learned them and the examples we can use these ideas in the real world could be if your an builder of technology of how the picture flips upside down is the first experiment we tested this week. Another real world appliction for these ideas we have learned this week is if your a secret agent and you see a laser and you have to know where the person is which is shining it would be by a mirror. And you can look for a mirror and find the guy and capture him.
This week was very interesting and I learned alot.
